Client Song
Lists If you’d like to, you may create a song
list for your DJ to work off of at your Wedding Reception.
For Cocktail and Dinner you may choose up to 20 songs for each
hour. These requests may consist of artists you like, styles of
music you'd prefer, or specific songs that you'd like to hear.
Typically the dancing portion of the reception is 3 to 4
hours. The amount of songs that are played is between 40 & 60.
We suggest that you choose 15 to 20 must plays and 10 to 15
additional songs.
Here are a few helpful hints how to get
the best out of your music selections.
•
Create a
Must Play List (priority)
On average we ask you have
15-20 must plays in
your music list. Your must plays can consist of songs that are “a
must”, or any songs that are special to you, your family, or your
friends. They will be played. Using the *note* feature in the
music library, you may dedicate a song or designate a certain time
for these requests to be played.
•
Create an Additional Song List (play if possible)
This list will serve as your
10-15
additional songs. These should be songs that you
definitely like, but if there is not enough time to play them all,
it’s no big deal. This is also a good place to put any songs that
you are not sure about. The DJ can then use his experience to
determine if and when to include them, depending on your guests
and how they are responding to different music genres.

The question that is asked in the most is: “How many
slow
songs do we pick for the dancing portion of the evening.”

Create a Do Not Play List
This is for anything you definitely do not want played at your
reception. Please keep your guests in mind while making this list.
It is important to not restrict too many different styles of
music. However if there is a certain artist, style, or era of
music that you absolutely do not want played, this would be where
to put it.
