 Hi, My name is Matt O’Connell. I began DJ'ing in 1987.
I started as an assistant for a local DJ company. This is where my
knowledge for music grew exponentially. This musical knowledge fueled
a passion for the industry, and I soon discovered my
talent for mixing. Shortly thereafter, I began DJ'ing my own events. My desire for mixing/entertaining led me to DJ in some of the best
nightclubs/sports bars in the Chicagoland area: Hamilton’s
(Loyola College), Sluggers, Boneshaker’s, Xtremz, Ground Zero,
Kokomo’s and G O Fitz just to name a few. Through the years, I
have DJ’d well over a thousand events including: Wedding Receptions,
Anniversaries, Birthdays, Graduations, Holiday
Celebrations and Corporate Events. All of this experience has made me
become a well-rounded DJ for any occasion. My
knowledge of music goes well beyond my years, going as far back as the
’20’s up thru the most current. I joined the Tone
Productions team in 1993 and have done over 700
events for Tone clients. I love to DJ all occasions,
especially the most important day of a couples life together, and will
make every effort to present an exciting, energetic, and
interactive atmosphere at your event. I strive to make your event the
most memorable day, not only for you, but also for your guests.
